(yup, I did almost buy an e-reader, but not just yet)
E-reader? No way. I read 3 to 5 books a week. We have the best dang library – any book you want that they don’t have, they’ll get it. They display ‘new’ additions in a special area and that’s where I get most of what I read. If they’re new books, just out – chances are I haven’t already read them…
I usually read (prefer) non fiction. Haven’t read any fiction in a long time that showed me anything new. Some fiction authors I like – a good story is a good story.
That’s what I hate about renting videos – they won’t tell you – Hey – did you know you already saw that one? I realize it about fifteen minutes in…
This is cool:
Sorry the embedding doesn’t seem to work well.

That owl box is GREAT
S.O. just helped stage an exhibit here (not Alaska) about resistance publishing in your neck of the woods during German occupation. What the Orange resistance did with their printing presses and their pencils is truly remarkable. I wonder what will happen if everybody here and there buys into all the crap being floated about i-things? An underground Internet next time around perhaps :=)
