Yesterday was the deadline for candidates in Alaska to remove themselves from the August primary ballott. We had a few folks drop out as we’ve discussed before. (click on pics for larger view)
So imagine my surprise this morning, when in a forest of campaign signs, a new one appeared.

How could that be? Then I spotted another sign, and had to stop and get a better look

Why, it’s Brinkley, not Binkley (a rethug candidate). Brinkley was even in the paper today, and he’s got a web site.

All Brinkley’s contributions are going to the ASPCA, finally a candidate everyone can get behind (if you have a scooper and a small plastic bag).
